What about pregnant celebrities? If the trash mags like anything more than a sex scandal, it's a nice long-running celebrity pregnancy and all the drama that goes with it. "When will Courteney Cox be having another baby? Does Britney have a baby bump already? And what about Debra Messing from 'Will & Grace' - how long did it take her to get her pre-baby figure back?" It's trash mag heaven. But what is it about pregnant celebrities that keeps us so fascinated.
Tom Cruise Makes Pacifier for Katie Holmes
Well, this is the first we’ve heard about it, but apparently there have been some reports going around that Tom Cruise had an adult pacifier custom made for Katie Holmes so she would keep quite during birth as per Scientology rules. Us magazine says that Cruise want to provide Holmes with a specially designed device that she could use during labor. The tabloids source says: “He Commissioned an adult-sized ‘binky’ for her to clench between her teeth, hoping that it’ll squelch her screams.” However, Cruise’s publicist has denied these reports, dismissing them as complete nonsense. Additionally, fellow Scientologist followers John Travolta and wife Kelly Preston have gone on the record in defense of the Scientology birth. It has been widely reported that Scientology enforces a strict “no noise” policy when it comes to childbirth as it can traumatize the child. However, according to Travolta, a mother can make noise during childbirth, it is only recommended that she keep it to a minimum, while those around her stay quite to help make the experience more peaceful and calm. Preston added: “Screaming is fine…it’s the words. If you can avoid saying certain phrases and words…Just try to keep it as quite as possible. Of course you’re going to groan and yell. It hurts. Just keep it to a minimum.”
Ashton and Demi’s Baby Talk
Recent tabloid reports have said that Ashton Kutcher and wife Demi Moore plan to adopt a child. While the tabloids say a lot of things, it doesn’t help matters when the celebs themselves add fuel to the fire. As is the case with Mr. Kutcher, who is known to say a lot of true and untrue things to the media. His most recent comments go a little something like this: “[Demi’s] not pregnant. There was a rumor about a year ago, but it is not true. [A baby] could be in the plans. Everybody’s adopting babies now, that’s the new thing. I feel like just having one would be weird. It’s unconventional to have a baby just now, you’ve got to adopt one from Cambodia or something.” So, seems as though the couple are talking babies and may be considering adoption but aren’t sure just yet. Or they are but don’t care to discuss it with strangers. How unconventional!
LA, Paris, Nambia…Where Next?
First Angelina was going to give birth in Paris, then it was the US, then it was back to Paris and now it seems to be down to Africa. According to various sources, Jolie and partner/rumored fiancé Brad Pitt have organized a private lodge in Nambia, Africa, where they will spend the remainder of Jolie’s pregnancy. Why Africa? Well, basically Angelina would like to continue with her work as a Goodwill Ambassador for the UN, which requires her to be in Africa. Luckily, a source revealed to Britain’s News of the World that couple has “fallen in love with Africa and want to help as much as they can over there.” Los Angeles, Paris, Nambia – who cares? Just have the baby already!
